Xi Shun (China, b 1971) measured 7ft 8.95 in when examined on 15 January 2006 at Chifeng hospital, Inner Mongolia, China.

The tallest man in history was Robert Pershing Wadlow. He was born at Alton, Illinois, USA, on February 22, 1918, and when he was last measured on June 27, 1940, was found to be a staggering 8ft 11.1in tall.
