In March 2007 Aston Martin retuned - at least partially - to British ownership. Ford sold the company to a consortium headed by British businessman-come-rally driver Dave Richards.

In July 2007 they produced the last car at Newport Pagnell, a Vanquish S, before all production moved to Gaydon.
