Rosemarie Frankland
The beauty queen circuit is no stranger to controversy. Britain's first Miss World winner led a life filled with misfortune in which she could never escape the public eye.
Frankland, who was described as "the most beautiful girl" Bob Hope had ever seen, won the contest in 1961. However she was plagued by depression, and died of a drugs overdose, aged 57.
