Not a film about fizzy drinks, the title refers to the codename for a team of cops who don't pull any punches when it comes to catching crooks. It is, amazingly, the only film that Philip D'Antoni has ever directed but it remains one of the most assured chase scenes on film, spanning city and country.
Shot with a similar gritty grain that made 'The French Connection' so dirty a few years prior, 'The Seven-Ups' sees Roy Schneider ('Jaws') push his 1973 Pontiac Ventura Sprint to its limits. While the chase isn't particularly original, they're all going at breakneck speeds. Check out the chase movie staple - a road block with a hole in the middle that can just about fit a speeding car. It also has the best sudden end to a chase ever filmed.
