Fourth Apprentice fired
Axed contestant branded a 'loose cannon'...
09:10 28 October 2010
Melissa Cohen became the fourth candidate to be fired from The Apprentice after being labelled a "loose cannon" by Lord Sugar.
The 27-year-old did not take the news well, muttering that she was being ganged up on as she left the boardroom, refusing to shake her rivals' hands.
Cohen was part of Team Synergy who generated an impressive £76,518.80 worth of sales for their shower head and spade products.
They were, however, outdone by rival team Apollo, who clocked up a massive £122,625.90 worth of sales; a boardroom record.
The blame fell on team leader Jamie Lester, Cohen and Stuart Baggs, who were called back into the boardroom to face Lord Sugar.
Sugar said that Melissa reminded him of "those knock-off DVDs. At first glance you're quite convincing and afterwards you're just impossible to follow.
"You're a bit of a loose cannon that I don't think I can control - you're fired!"
She then left the boardroom, muttering "Well done ganging up on me you horrible people", before telling Baggs and Lester as they went to shake her hand:
"I have nothing to say to either of you. Save your skin and get out of my face."
Catch The Apprentice Wednesday nights at 9pm on BBC One.
