Coronation Street star Kym Marsh is expecting a baby with her partner Jamie Lomas, it has been revealed.

The former Hear'say singer, who tragically lost another baby last year after giving birth prematurely, is said to be over the moon.

Marsh, who has two teenage children from a previous relationship, had said that after the death of her baby Archie she was scared to conceive again, but doctors at her 12-week scan told her that all is well.

A spokeswoman for the couple said: “Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas are delighted to announce they are expecting a baby together.

“They are very appreciative of the love and support that has come their way in the last 12 months, but they won't be saying anything further about Kym's pregnancy for the moment.”

The couple, whose baby Archie died in February last year after being born 18 weeks prematurely, got engaged on Christmas Day 2009 after briefly splitting in the October.

Kym Marsh began dating the former Hollyoaks actor after divorcing ex-Eastenders star Jack Ryder. She is also mother to David, 15 and Emily, 13.
