George Harrison and Friends - 'The Concert for Bangladesh'
Of all the benefit concerts (including 'Live Aid' and 'Live 8') this is the most revered, musically speaking. Shot in 1971 in Madison Square Garden to raise funds for Bangladesh, the deluxe DVD reissue is a must.
Featuring the Beatle at the front, supported by Ringo Starr and Eric Clapton and featuring guest spots by Billy Preston and Bob Dylan this is the best place to start to get into Harrison as a solo artist.
It may not be filmed particularly well and it lacks a certain charisma but with classics like 'Something' and 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', this presents a good cause without overindulging. Simply put, it's straight forward rock and folk, played well and out of your face.
