In March 1996, a 21-year-old man strapped himself up with explosives and burst into a New Zealand radio station taking the DJ hostage. He didn't want money or fame, he didn't even want to air his political views. His only demand was that the DJ play the Kermit the Frog song continuously for 12 hours.

When the bomb was found to be fake, the cops stormed the station and taught the muppet fan a lesson.
