The pop-rock quartet started out on a TV series of the same name back in 1965. Then in 1968 when the show ended, the group continued releasing records which satisfied their screaming fans until 1971.

Several reunions of the original line-up have taken place, the last which featured all four members was in 1997. Davy Jones and Micky Dolenz toured the States in 2002 as a duo and then split to concentrate on their own individual projects.
