He made it to the final five but the public decided he wasn't to be in the final. Simon told Ant and Dec he'd learnt a lot about himself during his 18 days in the jungle, especially confirming his fears of spiders and water. Simon said about David Van Day: "Do you know what, I think he's a nice guy underneath... He's got a game plan. I expect to see him in the final."
