The Help (October 2011)
The Help, written by Kathryn Stockett, is a film about a girl from southern America who graduates from college and decides she wants to be a writer.
Controversially, she interviews and writes about the African American maids who have worked for rich white southerners for their entire lives.
With audiences much more in favour of this film, giving a whopping Rotten Tomatoes rating of 95%, the critics were less impressed, providing The Help with a rating of 75%.
