Entertainer Rolf Harris interviewed by police
Rolf Harris was taken in by officers for questioning over a probe into alleged sex offences

Rolf Harris has been interviewed by officers after attending a police station, it has emerged.
This is in regards to an inquiry over alleged sex offences. The news comes following the investigation into sex offence claims with regards to the late Jimmy Savile, but Rolf Harris’ questioning is not linked to Savile it has been reported.
Operation Yewtree, which has three aspects to it – where one of the aspects relates to claims against those who are not linked to Savile, was set up in 2011 because sex claims were made against Jimmy Savile.
In one report by the BBC, it is stated that Mr. Harris, a presenter and artist from Australia, was at the police station in November but was not named then. The report states that his identity was first reported by the Sun on Friday.
Previously police questioned Gary Glitter. Also Jim Davidson - who has denied claims against him. With regards to Operation Yewtree there have been other arrests made involving well-known individuals.
It is believed that Mr. Harris has been granted bail until May.
Mr Harris has appeared on British television for at least four decades.
