Corrie stars Nikki Sanderson and Danny Young are being lined up to appear on the hit reality TV show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Producers of the show have drawn up a wish-list of stars they'd love to appear in the jungle, and it is rumoured that on and off-screen lovers Nikki and Danny, who play Candice and Warren in Coronation Street, could be set to fly out to Australia.
An insider told the Daily Mirror: "There's a wishlist for the fifth series and they are up there. They'd make terrific TV."
Both stars are set to leave the soap this autumn after Danny's character was axed and Nikki decided she wanted to try something different.
Should the pair decide to take part in the hugely successful celebrity reality show, they could be joining the likes of ex-footballer and disgraced pundit Rodney Marsh, ex-England player Ian Wright and page three stunners Jakki Degg and Leilani Dowding.
The series has proved a goldmine for some celebrities who have benefited greatly from the publicity generated by the show. Last year's king of the jungle, Joe Pasquale, afterwards landed himself gigs that he could once only have dreamed of, such as guest spots on Michael Parkinson.
Recently he filmed a pilot for a new show, Ready Steady Joe, which ITV hope will be a ratings winner against Graham Norton's prime time Saturday night slot.
