Zoe Tate is set to rock the Dale with yet another steamy lesbian romp, this time with her daughter's nanny, Effie.

Despite Effie being straight, Emmerdale vet Zoe manages to seduce her successfully and add her to a growing list of female conquests.

But trouble is brewing for Zoe, who is up for the attempted murder of her daughter's father Scott.

Police find traces of Scott's blood on two syringes designed to administer horse tranquiliser, putting Zoe right in the frame for murder.

And when her partner Paddy refuses to lie for her, Zoe realises she has to go. And who is her accomplice in flight? None other than Effie, who whisks Zoe's daughter Jean to Ireland.

A show insider, commenting on Zoe and Effie's relationship, told the Daily Star: "Zoe will have a final taste of lesbian love, though we're not revealing the conclusion of the storyline.

"Needless to say, it is a fitting one for Zoe, who has been a mainstay of Emmerdale for 16 years."

Leah Bracknell, who plays the saucy vet, has left Emmerdale and is set to appear in a stage play with Peter Amory, who used to play her brother Chris in the soap.
