Castle Park Films in July

Head to Castle park and enjoy a weekend of films in the great outdoors between July 1 and 14.

Colchester Events Company has announced that it is bringing back its summer screenings to the upper park of Castle Park between July 1 and 14.

 

Six movies will be shown from Thursday July 4 to Sunday July 7. Wimbledon will also be lives-streamed for free during the famous tennis fortnight.

 

Grease will be shown at 7.30pm on Thursday while A Star is Born, which stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga will be shown on Friday at 7.30pm. The movie fun will get underway with a double bill of the Fantastic Beasts films at 1pm and award-winning movie Bohemian Rhapsody at 7.30pm. The last day of screening will feature The Incredibles at 10.30am.

 

Nick Barlow, Colchester Council’s commercial services boss, said: “Summer Screen in Castle Park has become a hugely popular feature of Colchester's annual event calendar and one that many people look forward to.

 

"It's the perfect way to bring the people of Colchester together to relax and enjoy films within the beautiful and historic setting of Castle Park.”
