Jennifer Lopez is so desperate to have a baby - she has given up cigars.

The beautiful diva has put one of her favourite pastimes to rest in a bid to be in the peak of fitness to get pregnant.

A source close to the star is quoted by Britain's Star magazine as saying: "Jen wants a baby more than anything - she's not taking any chances that puffing could hurt her unborn child."

J.Lo recently admitted she was broody and was desperate to start a family with third husband Marc Anthony.

She told Britain's Night and Day magazine: "I so want to be pregnant. I'm ready, I'm waiting and I want it to happen as soon as possible. I know it would be the best thing in the world right now. I'm so happy and I just know it's the right time. You just know when you're ready, don't you?

"Honestly, I would do anything it takes to get pregnant. I want to be a mother more than anything. That's the important stuff in life. That's the real thing. All I can say is, please God, bring it on."
