Keira's 'cool' piercing

Keira Knightley's mother told her to get her belly button pierced to make her happier at school.

The stunning actress was experiencing some difficulties during her school days and, in a bid to cheer her daughter up, Keira's mum told her to get her naval pierced as she thought it would make her feel "cool".

Keira recalled to Britain's Reveal magazine: "It was actually my mum who made me do it. I was having a hard time at school so she decided that I needed a little secret so I would think I was cool. She took me to a piercing parlour. I had been talking about it for a long time, so I got it done and it totally worked."
