Brand's wedding 'normal'

Russell Brand has revealed that his wedding was "normal" in his first interview since marrying singer Katy Perry.

The star spoke for the first time about his wedding to Perry on ITV One's Loose Women show.

He said: "It was just normal. It's like a normal wedding.

"Everyone gets all worked up about showbiz and celebrity, but other than the bit where youÂ’re on the telly or youÂ’re singing a song, itÂ’s normal. ItÂ’s just a normal marriage."

Brand's comments come as somewhat of a surprise, as rumours have been circulating about the ceremony for weeks, with one in particular suggesting that he gave his new wife a tiger as a wedding present.

The 35-year-old comedian cleared things up, saying:

"IÂ’m a vegetarian, you donÂ’t give people tigers, itÂ’s stupid, itÂ’s dangerous, and the tigers donÂ’t like it."

Brand also admitted to the Loose Women ladies that he's already under the thumb, despite being married for less than a month.

"The other day, I put on a shirt and she went, 'You're not wearing that shirt are you?'

"I thought, that's actually happening? I wasn't allowed to wear it. If she says don't wear that shirt, I don't wear it."
