Ab Fab is back?
Stars could reunite for cult comedy show...
10:23 12 November 2010
Absolutely Fabulous looks set for a revival as Joanna Lumley revealed she is to team up with Jennifer Saunders once again.
Lumley, 64, has said that she has already been in talks with her comedic partner about starting a new series of the show, which had a hardened following both in the UK and around the world.
The show, which was created by Saunders, 52, was a massive hit in the 90s and early 2000s and focussed on a team of foul-mouthed, drunken PR women who had a penchant for fashion and fags.
After a successful run from 1992 to 1996 and then again in 2001 to 2004, the series came to a close on Christmas Day in 2004.
A return of the show could mean that we see the confident pair as pensioners; retired from their high paying job and perhaps living a slightly less glamorous lifestyle.
Jennifer Saunders has recently been battling breast cancer and although chemotherapy and radiotherapy has stopped, she is still on a low-level treatment that will not see her reach the all-clear for a further few years.
A spokesperson for Saunders has refused to comment on the rumours.
