Friends of Hollywood golden couple, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have told the News of the World that they fear for the couple's marriage, blaming actress Angelina Jolie for placing a strain on the relationship.

Brad, 40, is said to have become close to his Mr And Mrs Smith co-star Angelina, 29, prompting his press agent to publicly deny the existence of a relationship between the pair back in May.

Meanwhile, one source told the paper of friends' fears that Brad and Jen, 35 are spending increasing amounts of time apart.

"Brad and Jennifer have been through rough times before-but never anything like this."

"All their friends are concerned about whether they can make their marriage work for them again.
"At the moment it's not looking good," said the source.

The paper stresses that the couple have appeared together in public just once in the past two months-at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on September 19.
