Big Brother contestant Derek Laud has been evicted by viewers of the Channel 4 reality show.
The former speechwriter was up against his closest pal in the house, Eugene Sully, after housemates nominated the pair.
Following the announcement, Eugene fought back the tears, while Derek maintained a typically cool facade and gave his housemates a rousing speech before his exit.
Derek, who had been the bookies favourite to leave last night, declared, "Its my moment", and congratulated his follow housemates on hearing of his eviction.
After leaving the BB house, the wannabe politician said: "It's a good moment to be out. I didn't go to win, I went for a personal journey. I didn't have to be there for as long as I was. I'm delighted it's over. I didn't want to win at all. Most politicians wouldn't survive a week without being evicted."
In an interview with BB6 presenter Davina McCall, he announced: "I've discovered that I'm a nicer person than I thought I was. That was a surprise."
The Tory supporter also added that: "I'm interested in the revival of the Conservative party. It's a very nice feeling to be more popular than the Tory party."
Meanwhile, Anthony and Craig had a falling out last night after Craig jokingly poured beer on Anthony and the Geordie dancer lost his rag. Hairdresser Craig was left in tears over the argument and both went to bed angry.
