Eugene was left in tears, with only his gun buddy Derek for comfort, after the group dismally missed the mark as cowboys and cowgirls.
The oddball pair of sharpshooters successfully completed their leg of the Wild West-themed weekly task, which involved them gunning down cans and bottles.
However, the group failed the task after Craig, Makosi and Kinga all proved they had two left feet for the line-dancing challenge, while Anthony confirmed that the only thing he can lasso is the unwanted attention of Craig.
The failure meant that the housemates will have to see out their final week on basic food rations.
Eugene, who has unsurprisingly been to anxiety management classes in the past, couldn't take it however, and burst into tears, with only fellow gunman Derek for comfort.
"It's things like we're putting the effort in and we can't even bloody well do it because of outside influences," the eccentric engineer weeped.
"Anthony's putting some effort in but not everybody is bothering to put the effort in."
Derek, never one to mince his words, agreed with him, though he somewhat hypocritically declared that the others were behaving like "peacocks".
Eugene, who faces eviction alongside Derek tonight, also revealed that he doesn't want to leave the house, bestowing on himself the lofty accolade of "the longest running person who came in as a latecomer and got this far".
Derek, however, appears nonplussed about leaving the house, which for a long time he has regarded as a hateful, idiotic bastille of torment.
He stated that he plans to snub everyone outside the Big Brother house, even the fog-horn voiced presenter, Davina McCall, should he be evicted tonight.
