WHP Telecoms' application to build a 5G mast on Otley Road in Temple Rhydding in Baildon has been approved by Bradford Council.
The approval would see the a 20-metre monopole with a wraparound cabinet and associated work built outside the Hemingway Carpers factory, near the railway bridge.
Council documents containing the details of the proposal's approval read: “The proposal is considered to be appropriately sited and would not be harmful to the appearance of the area.
“The prior approval of the Local Authority with regard to siting and appearance is therefore not required.”
The 5G mast would provide fast and highly reliable mobile network to residents of Baildon. It is the latest 5G mast to be approved in the district as the 5G rollout continues in the UK.
