Andover Man Caught on CCTV

Andover man ordered to pay £530 for dumping garden waste at Enham Lane in April 2018.

A man named Matthew Powell of Weyhill, Andover has pleaded guilty to dumping garden waste at Enham Lane in Charlton. He was ordered to pay a £200 fine, a £30 victim surcharge and £300 costs on 19 June 2018 at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

 

Environmental portfolio holder, councillor Graham Stallard said “We take a zero tolerance approach to fly-tipping in our borough and it is good news that our covert cameras are proving successful. 

 

“The cameras are deployed throughout the borough and they provide invaluable evidence for the environmental service’s enforcement team. We investigate all reports of fly-tipping and will take them through to prosecution with sufficient evidence. It is a disgusting and inexcusable crime and we will do everything in our power to stamp it out.”
