There is literally no field that was not affected by technology. Education is changing and we will present you the 9 examples that reshape the traditional school system. Each of these makes the learning process more interesting to kids!
Promethean
Students often do not like to work homework and they do all kinds of things to avoid writing or performing complex math problems. Instead of offline, the homework online features allow kids to use multi-touch screens in combination with dry erasing and cloud-lessons to work on their homework. No traditional paper and pencil. The Promethean is a project that uses all these and offers the students a chance to use personalized teachers that would work with them in single sessions.
Scanmaker
Instead of reading the large workbooks and writing, the students can count on the Scanmaker, a tool that allows them to scan the texts from books and documents and edit these easier. Instead of a pencil and eraser, the students can use voice commands to enter the text, change it, erase it or even transfer the material/book in the smartphone and read while in a bus. The text can be translated into more than 40 languages! While they are listening to texts and books, they improve listening, reading and writing skills at the same time! The project is currently available in Kansas City in Missouri state.
Sweetrush
E-learning trend has never been bigger than it is at this very moment and thanks to technology, we can enrol in the course that is taught at the university on the other side of the world. Sweetrush is a fantastic form of the popular online tutoring platform where you can access to tests, materials for learning, interactive quiz-games to test your knowledge and learn more! The platform has implemented the virtual call-centre where the new workers can experience realistic situations and learn how to solve these. Also, the company has announced that it would implement the VR and AR sets for educational purposes in order to make the learning process much entertaining to students.
Blackboard
Blackboard is a project that makes the whole monitoring process easier for parents who want to keep track of their kid’s progress. The students can experience the digital environment and personalize their education so they can focus on things that they would like to work with in the future. The IoT will make these students experts as they can work on the exact thing that is interesting to them. At the same time, Blackboard enables parents to have real-time insight into the kid’s progress and learning level. Instead of following and reading a blog, students have life-time access to learning material, libraries, code templates and many more things that will enhance their coding abilities. This is an interactive way to start programming from scratch. Kaltura
If your kid likes the video editing, then Kaltura is the project for him/her! It is a collection of video-editing tools that allow producing live or on-demand videos that can be reproduced to any smart device. At the same time, the students learn about video editing and image processing, but also about video technology reproduction! This makes a list of opportunities where your kid could work later in his life!
Tynker
Tynker is similar to Locorobo, but the difference is that kids learn to program by using the code blocks rather than scratch code. The idea is to develop coding logic and programming syntax in kids’ brains before they even realize how to use separate lines of code. The concept of programming using these visual blocks extends from Javascript to Python languages! Once they develop the logic and programming mind, kids will be able to code games, apps and robots!
Magicard
The Magicard is the project that enables parents to have better insight into kid’s progress and learning, but also into their activity on campus/school. The platform keeps track of the time of access to a facility, match of ID, payments and many more! Instead of having the old-fashioned IDs, the kids will enjoy the latest technology perk that keeps track of all their school activities! No more lying about the grades!
Kajeet
Kajeet formed a partnership with Google recently with the goal of delivering access to Wi-Fi connection while being on bus! The goal is that kids can work their homework while travelling from school to home. At the same time, parents will be able to track the student’s progress and overall behaviour. It is a bit like an electronic diary!
