Latest hopeful fired from The Apprentice boardroom...
10:16 25 November 2010
Christopher Farrell has become the latest candidate to be fired from The Apprentice boardroom.
Farrell is the eighth hopeful to leave the show, after his team lost the crisp flavour branding and sales task.
It was the ex-Royal Marine commando's first time in the final three, but Christopher failed to convince Lord Sugar that he was the right man to stay.
The 28-year-old had been part of Team Synergy, lead by Chris Bates, during the task, which saw both teams travel to Germany to sell crisps.
Synergy made €17,995 profit, compared to Team Apollo's final sales figure of €19,327.
Apollo's team leader Stella English and her colleagues Stuart Baggs, Joanna Riley and Laura Moore were treated to a shopping spree around Mayfair, whilst Team Synergy made their way to the infamous Apprentice cafe to discuss what went wrong.
Project Manager Chris brought Farrell and Jamie Lester back into the boardroom with him, but it was Christopher that inevitably got the boot.
Lord Sugar dealt the final blow, saying: "Christopher, you do work hard, there's no question of that. My concern is that you perhaps don't have that spark of entrepreneurial genius that I'm looking for.
You're not for my organisation so - you're fired!"
The Apprentice continues Wednesday nights, 9pm on BBC Two.
