ModelÂ’s meningitis scare
M&S star rushed to hospital after feeling unwell...
10:10 25 November 2010
Radio DJ and former model Lisa Snowden was said to be recovering last night after it was discovered she had viral meningitis.
The pretty 38-year-old had been admitted to hospital last Friday after she complained of flu-like symptoms.
The Marks and Spencer model had just finished switching the Bond Street Christmas lights on when she began to feel unwell.
A friend said she had been complaining about major headaches, pains, migraines and flu-like symptoms before she went on stage on Thursday.
Viral meningitis is the less series form of the illness, as opposed to the deadly bacterial form. People usually recover after much rest after just a few weeks.
Miss Snowdon has been forced to pull-out of her daily morning slot on Capital Radio, which she presents with Johnny Vaughan. Frankie Sandford from The Saturdays is understood to be taking her place for a few days.
