X-Factor 2005 winner Shayne Ward is engaged

Bachelor days are set to be over for X-Factor 2005’s Shayne Ward, as he recently got down on his knees and asked his long-time girlfriend to marry him. 

 

The proposal, which was obviously well planned, took place at the top of OXO Tower with romantic views over London. 

 

Shayne took to Twitter to share his excitement saying: “I have just asked @fayemckeever to marry me and she said.............. YES!” He also posted a photo of him kissing his fiancé who was wearing an elegant engagement ring. 

 

Faye McKeeve followed suit by using the social media site to express her fellings, with a few hours before the announcement tweeting: “Being treated to a beautiful meal at the @OXO_Tower with stunning views of the Thames @shayneTward thankyou x ❤.”

 

Two hours later, she posted an exciting message: “OMG @shaynetward has just asked me to marry him and I said…….YES!!”

 

The couple has reportedly been dating since 2004. Faye supported her man all the way to his victory on the X-Factor a year later.

 

The engagement came after Shayne wrapped up his ‘Rock Of Ages’ musical giving him more time to plan for the wedding.
