Three UK set to build a 20-metre 5G mast in Wirral.

Three UK's application to build a 20-metre 5G mast in Wirral has been recently approved by the local council. 

 

The phone mast, which has been described as "vital for local residents and businesses in the area", will be built on New Chester Road in Tranmere. 

 

 

The firm said that they need to build a taller mast as 5G uses slightly shorter wavelengths than 3G and 4G. Although there are existing masts in the area, Three UK said that redeveloping an existing site to accommodate 5G is always not an option.
