WiFi vs 5G
5G is one of the most highly anticipated technologies that is expected to be rolled out starting 2020.

With its ultra-high mobile internet speeds and greater capacity, it is expected to deliver improved user experience. It is also expected to have a huge impact on the entire economy and societies around the world.
But does this mean it will replace WiFi? Experts say that WiFi is going to stay long after 5G has been introduced. It will also continue to carry the brunt of mobile data plus all of the data on non-SIM devices. It will still be used by the majority of businesses, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and even connected homes.
The more likely scenario is WiFi and 5G will co-exist for a very long time to address the needs of not just individual users but also that of industries around the world. This is expected to be the case until such time that the mobile industry is in a financial state to pursue major technology upgrade that can empower 5G to become the main source of Internet connection. In the mean time, the use of 5G when it is already launched in 2020 will likely be slow and sporadic.
