White Stripes star marries

White Stripes drummer Meg White, has married her fiancé in a double wedding at her ex-husband and bandmate's home.

The brunette rock star tied the knot to her partner Jackson Smith in Jack White's back garden in Nashville.

The other couple who wed were Jack Lawrence and his girlfriend Jo McCaughey.

Lawrence plays bass in Jack White's other band The Raconteurs.

The couples were married in the backyard of White's Nashville home in front of "a small party of close friends and relatives."

Jackson Smith is the son of punk icon Patti Smith and MC5's late guitarist Fred 'Sonic' Smith.

The White Stripes first achieved mainstream success in the UK in 2003 with their fourth album 'Elephant'.
