Then, it is important that you are armed with knowledge on how to properly deploy your VoIP business phone system in order for you to maximise its benefits. Here’s what you need to do:
· Start with your budget and knowing how and where you can save – See if your migration strategy could involve the use of your previous PBX or if you have the option to take advantage of anything that your telecom network’s new solutions. You may also have the option to take advantage of a buyback program for your VoIP hardware.
· Anticipate your need for IT support – Is your IT department ready with the transition? Or do they need training to learn how to program the new phones? Do they need certification classes to install and maintain the new PBX?
· Think about your end-users – Make a list of all the people who are going to use the new phone system. Then, understand their needs – from different telephony features to complementary accessories such as headsets.
· Implement a scalable and responsive network infrastructure – Keep in mind that a deployment-ready network has the capability to keep up with the demand and respond to failure. Your architecture has to scale without your intervention. It should be able to handle any problem because it can affect your organisation.
