What is the Shleep app?
Stop counting sheep with a new sleep app called Shleep.

Getting enough sleep is a major problem in the modern age. We often blame it to technology, traffic and enormous stress that we need to deal with on a daily basis. According to studies, more than 1/3 of American adults sleep less than 7 hours a night during work week. This makes them less energetic and less efficient in the work place. It also affects the quality of their personal relationships.
The lack of sleep is the problem that a new app aims to address. Called Shleep, it is built around a philosophy that involves understanding and behaviour change.
Once a user opens the app, they will see a short animated introduction followed by a questionnaire about their age, screen time, lifestyle and sleeping habits. Based on their answers, the app will put together a tailor-made program to improve users’ sleeping habits. These may involve detaching from technology and carrying out mindful relaxation exercises.
“The mission of Shleep is to help the world sleep better — and it is also my personal mission,” said Dr. Els van der Helm, the founder and CEO of Shleep. “I dream of making a measurable contribution to a more harmonious society with energetic people who feel good about themselves.”
