Shane Warne and Liz Hurley confirm proposal reports...

Shane Warne has announced that he and actress Liz Hurley are to marry.

News broke of the couple's engagement at the weekend, but now the reports have been confirmed by the cricket star.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship issued a statement confirming that Warne had proposed to the Gossip Girl star:

"Shane Warne has confirmed his engagement to actress Elizabeth Hurley after proposing at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship."

The pair also shared their good news via Twitter, posting identical Tweets reading:

"Thanks for all your congratulations. Here's a pic of us about to go to Dunhill dinner in St Andrews."

The couple are believed to have been dating since last year.

Warne has three children from his ten-year marriage to Simone Callahan, while Hurley split from husband and business tycoon Arun Nayer last December. They were married for four years.
