How to add your smart home devices to control them by voice.

If you have Google Assistant on iOS, Android or through Google, you are halfway done in building a smart home. The next thing to do is to add your smart home devices so you can control them by voice. Here’s an easy way to make this happen:
Step 1: Trigger Google Assistant by opening its app on iOS or by long-pressing the home button on Android. Then, go to Settings and select Home Control under Services.
Step 2: Connect your Smart Home Devices – From the Devices tab on the Home control screen, tap the blue + button in the bottom-right corner to get a complete list of all smart home devices that are compatible with the Google Assistant. Find your brand in the list and select it. Next, grant Google Assistant the permission to access your chosen smart devices.
Step 3: Assign devices to rooms – Next, assign the paired smart devices to associate rooms. This is important in differentiating multiple devices when issuing voice commands such as: “Turn off the bedroom lights” versus “Turn off the kitchen lights.”
Step 4: Control your smart home by voice – To do this, just say “OK Google” then tell Google Assistant what you want it to do.
