Usher is set to launch his own perfume for women.

The hip-hop star is keen to create his own scent as he believes he knows what smells good on ladies and wants them to benefit from his expert knowledge.

A source said: "He knows what makes a woman smell good and thinks he can come up with a great perfume."

Other celebrities to launch their own fragrance include Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears.

Meanwhile, Usher is set to team up with Tom Cruise for a new movie.

The handsome singer and the Hollywood heartthrob will star in action film 'War Of The Worlds' after Tom reportedly bombarded Usher with phone calls begging him to appear in it.

Usher, who is currently working on an autobiographical movie about a young singer who finds salvation in music, said: "We're going to make an action film together. I sat down and had a meeting with Tom."

Cruise's spokesperson confirmed the movie, saying: "Tom is a huge fan of Usher's work."
