Trouble For Kodi

Kodi’s troubles continue as a global add-on service (Navi-X), has been shut down over legal fears.

About a month after Brits were warned about the use of Kodi boxes to stream illegal content in the UK, Kodi is facing yet another major challenge. One of its most popular adds-ons, Navi-X, has said it will stop supplying content after 10 years of service.

 

Navi-X, which has been operating since 2007, said it will stop its global service in light of the current legal climate which makes it dangerous for them to operate within the law.

 

Kodi is a legal software that enables users to stream apps and on-demand service on TV. However, it has become associated with internet piracy due to add-ons that can provide illegal content.

 

'After ten years of successful operation, Navi-X has sadly being discontinued. Navi-X was first released in April 2007, and is the oldest Kodi addon of its kind,' the development team explained.

 

'The main reason why the decision was made to discontinue the Navi-X service is the current legal climate surrounding Kodi.'

 

'In case you aren't aware, the abundance of preloaded Kodi box sellers has resulted in a lot of heat on Kodi in the United Kingdom and elsewhere,' the team said.
