Triple Apprentice firing
Lord Sugar chooses his final two hopefuls...
09:53 16 December 2010
Lord Sugar sent three hopefuls packing in last night's Apprentice, leaving him with his final two candidates.
The final five contestants faced a gruelling interview challenge in the programmes semi-final stages, to help the Lord decide who he should take through to the final next week.
Some of Lord Sugar's closest aides and work colleagues grilled the candidates, exposing any weaknesses and holes in their CV's.
Stuart Baggs was the first contestant to get the boot, after being described as a "blagger" by Bordan Tkachuk, after he discovered that Baggs had exaggerated on his CV about his telecommunications company.
Lord Sugar then turned his attention to Joanna Riley, applauding her for her hard work but saying he had to let her go.
He said: "While you don't like what you are doing at the moment, get to like it and do more of it. Because with regret, I can't see where you slot in our organisation.
"But you leave here with your head held high. You've done very well. Joanna. I'm sorry to say, you are fired."
The last candidate to be fired was Jamie Lester, who was told that he had reached the "end of the road".
Chris Bates and Stella English made it through to next week's final, which will see them compete in a task to create a new brand of alcohol.
Catch the final of the Apprentice on Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
