(BANG) - Teri Hatcher says she is 'worth' twice as much since re-launching her career.
The 'Desperate Housewives' star, who took a ten-year career break after playing Lois Lane in 1990s series, 'The New Adventures of Super-Man', says that her value has doubled at celebrity auctions since she made her return to the small screen.
She said: "I went to this cool event that they do every year at the Bellagio hotel to raise money for Alzheimer's. I went last year and auctioned off a lunch with me. And it went for $20,000, which was a lot. And this year I went, and I was auctioned off for $125,000."
The 40-year-old actress, who plays Susan Mayer in the show, says she is grateful for her second chance at fame - because it has inspired other women too.
The Hollywood babe, who has a seven-year-old daughter, Emerson from her previous marriage, says playing a single mother as well as being one, has helped show older women that it's never to late to change your life.
She added: "What's happening to me is almost spiritual. People were coming up to me, mostly women, and they didn't want my autograph, didn't want my picture. They just wanted to sit with me and tell me how I've inspired them, how I've given new hope to women over 40.
"They told me stories about. That has really touched me."
