Taylor Swift smashes streaming records with new single release.
14:45 29 August 2017
Taylor Swift’s new song Look What You Made Me Do was streamed 8 million times when it debuted on Spotify on 24 August 2017, smashing the service’s streaming record. YouTube has also confirmed that the 27-year-old lyric video was played 19 million times within the first 24 hours of its launch; a new record for the video-streaming site.
The official video for the song will premier at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night 27 August 2017.
Meanwhile, Taylor has chosen US courier UPS as her “official delivery partner” for the release of her new album, Reputation.
The artwork of Reputation, which features the singer looking sultry in a black and white short, will appear on the side of UPS vehicles travelling across America in the run-up to its release in November 2017.
UPS officials have revealed that fans will have “an improved opportunity” to buy tickets to the singer’s forthcoming tour if they take a picture with one of the promotional vehicles and post it on social media with the hashtag #TaylorSwiftDelivery.
