Poole town centre is now offering free and secure WiFi access to all its visitors. The service features social media login and is securely hosted through Fusion WiFi’s worldwide data centres. The provision of free WiFi is a major feature of Poole BID’s (Business Improvement District) plan in its marketing and events sections.
Jonathan Sibbett, chair of Poole BID, said: “Putting a 21st century communications platform in place is fundamental to Poole BID’s marketing and events plan over five years and will provide invaluable online support for our events programme.
“Fusion WiFi has demonstrated how its system allows us to engage new and existing visitors to the town, as well as those who already live and work here.”
Adam Troman, CEO of Fusion Wi-Fi, said: “We have built a set of tools all powered by our unique free WiFi system to provide customers with a system to automatically market to users using a built-in email system. All our packages include a set of features which are designed to be simple, robust and legally compliant.
“For Poole BID, managing the system and appraising its ongoing effectiveness is also easy using the simple ‘plug and play’ solution. The well-designed and carefully branded login screen is easily customisable, while analytical data is presented through an easy-to-read dashboard and data export provides key data reporting including visitor statistics and number of logons. The latter can be used to evaluate Return on Investment and focus communications support to promote the scheme where needed.”
