Netflix is fully committed to growing its own Global Copyright Protection Group and is now looking for a copyright and content protection coordinator that will help protect Netflix Originals content from illegal downloads and streaming.
The job description said: “Netflix is the world’s leading Internet television network with more than 100 million members worldwide enjoying billions of hours of TV shows and movies per month.
“We have a growing number of Originals launching each month that need to be protected from piracy.”
It added: “The ideal candidate will have carried out a similar role at another company and can hit the ground running.
“He or she should have experience of anti-piracy initiatives and be very well versed in managing an effective notice and take down program and experience of working with YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Google, Bing, VK, Daily Motion and other well known platforms.”
Aside from its in-house team that clamps down on online piracy, Netflix is also investing heavily on its own content and is set to spend £6billion this year. It has 125million subscribers worldwide and string of hits, including Stranger Things, 13 Reasons Why, Black Mirror, Narcos and Orange Is The New Black.
