South Kesteven District Council considers streaming to save on costs and allow more people to follow council meetings on the SKDC website.

Residents of South Kesteven District may soon be able to stream council meetings through the SKDC website.
Council leaders consider the idea as a cost-effective option after a timetable of council meetings led to debate on how many meetings should be held across the district.
While Deeping Councillor Ashley Baxter wants more meeting to be held outside Grantham, Bourne Conservative Councillor Robert Reid said that doing so was “a great degree of cost.”
The Deepings Conservative said: “I’m a passionate advocate of local government but also a passionate advocate of value for money.” However, fellow Deepings Councillor Judy Stevens begged to disagree saying that it is “disingenuous and ridiculous to say it will bankrupt our council”.
Councillor leader Matthew Lee weighed in and said meetings held outside Grantham will cost the council more but warned that not all places outside the district have a stable Wi-Fi connection.
