A recent survey carried out by Mindshare and participated by more than 6,000 UK-based respondents have revealed that smart thermostats, smart vacuum cleaners and smart fridge remain the most desired smart tech.
46per cent of respondents said that they are more likely to invest in a smart thermostat that automatically adjusts based on an individual’s body temperature in their home. 40per cent said that they would invest in a smart vacuum cleaner.
Meanwhile, 37per cent of respondents are more likely to purchase a fridge that suggests recipes based on what food is in there.
The least attractive smart tech according to the majority of respondents is an app-controlled smart kettle and fitting smart shelves that can automatically and conveniently re-order items as soon as they run out.
Shawn Hallums, a spokesperson from RecycleZone.org.uk, which interpreted the data, said: "We are in the era of instant gratification -- where people want to utilise technology that makes different aspects of their life easier and more efficient. Companies have quickly realised this and created a multitude of devices and applications to cater to this apparent need."
