Poor Scott, who Zoe is accused of trying to murder, will soon find that the escalating Emmerdale events involving the fleeing vet are too much for him, and he ends up getting in a fight.

Unfortunately, the punch-up ends in disaster for the troubled young man, who thumps Dawn in the face by mistake as she tries to break it up.

Viv, Scott's usually over-protective mother, finally decides not to take her son's side, and sees that he has gone too far this time.

To Scott's horror, the sharp-tongued post-mistress tells him he is on his own from now on.

But that's not the worst of it for Scott. A Dales insider said: "There is a knock on the door and Viv answers to two police officers.

"They tell Scott that he is under arrest for assault and as he is lead off he pleads with his mother to help him. Viv is unable to look him in the eye as he is dragged away."
