Robbie Williams is so worried about getting fat he has started wearing corsets.

The pop heartthrob has reportedly splashed out on two special fat-melting girdles to help him shed the pounds.

The singer allegedly straps himself into the hi-tech Vacunaut device - which he has installed at his Los Angeles and London homes - before running on a treadmill.

The contraption even has a suction hose which Robbie puts on before he starts jogging.

Author Chris Heath, who penned the star's biography, 'Feel', said Robbie "swears by" the programme.

He added: "Most days he appears in his suit, like an eccentric spaceman, asking to be zipped up or unzipped."

Robbie's spokesman confirmed the singer has turned to Vacunaut to get in shape, saying: "Robbie is very keen on fitness and I've heard of him using the Vacunaut before."
