Ashlee Simpson has been rushed to hospital after collapsing just minutes after performing live in Japan.

The sexy singer dashed from the stage after telling the Tokyo audience she was feeling ill.

Ashlee - sister of 'Newlyweds' star Jessica Simpson - then collapsed in an elevator.

So far details of Ashlee's condition have not been released, but her representative, Rob Shuter, has confirmed the star is still in hospital.

Ashlee's father, Joe Simpson, told MTV - who were hosting the concert - that his daughter was on an intravenous drip but refused to say more.

The pretty singer, who has been touring non-stop to promote her new album 'I Am Me', has cancelled her appearance at the Radio Music Awards in Las Vegas, today (19.12.05).
