Free public WiFi has hit the town centre of Renfrew.
21:01 03 August 2018
Visitors to Renfrew are now enjoying the benefits of free, fast public WiFi.
The service is available from key outdoor areas, including High Street, from the town hall to Queen Street, and in Canal and Hairst Streets.
The project is part of Renfrewshire Council’s £1million investment in free public WiFi, with johnstone already reaping the benefits while Paisley is set to have the same access soon.
Renfrewshire Council deputy leader Jim Paterson said: “We live in an increasingly-connected world and access to fast internet is now an everyday necessity for many.
“This service is already proving popular in Johnstone and we are delighted Renfrew town centre can now benefit too.”
The service is open to anyone with a wifi-enabled device within the coverage zone – just find ‘Renfrewshire Public Wifi’ in your list of available networks.
