TV star to face 24-hour panel show marathon for charity...
12:29 17 February 2011
Little Britain star David Walliams is to host a 24-hour panel show to raise money for Comic Relief.
He will host a number of comedy panel shows, including Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News for You and 8 Out of 10 Cats, live and continuously for 24 hours.
The marathon will be called 24 Hour Panel People and will be broadcast live online, before being edited down for BBC Three.
David said of the event, which is set to take place on 5 and 6 March:
"This is an amazing challenge, I just hope I don't fall asleep or burst into tears."
Other comedians taking part in the marathon include Leigh Francis, Sean Locke and Jason Manford.
Walliams is no stranger to charity work; he previously swam the English Channel and the Strait of Gibraltar to raise money for Sport Relief.
All proceeds from 24 Hour Panel People will go to Comic Relief, which tackles poverty in the UK and Africa.
Comic Relief 2011 kicks off on 18 March.
