Nu Vibe have become the fifth act to be voted off the X Factor, after finishing bottom of the first public vote alongside Frankie Cocozza.
The group found themselves voted out by three of the four judges, with only their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos choosing to keep them in the competition.
Asked what she thought went wrong, the N-Dubz star said:
"I'm not sure, all I can say is I believed in them. I took a chance and they worked hard, they gave everything. I still believe in them now and I wish they could stay in this competition."
Over on Strictly Come Dancing, Dan Lobb became the latest star to be kicked out of this yearÂ’s edition.
The Daybreak presenter and his professional partner Katya Virshilas were eliminated from the dancing competition after their Viennese waltz failed to impress the judging panel and viewers.
Speaking of the highlight from his time on Strictly, Lobb said:
"Oh, dancing with Katya - it's a wonderful opportunity to dance with somebody who works at the top of their profession, who is so talented."
The Saturday night ratings battle may not be as easily won for ITV as it once was, as figures from this weekend show the X Factor down nearly two million viewers on last year at 9.8million, while BBC One's Strictly rose up to 9.05million.
Crucially, Strictly took 39.2 per cent of the available audience during its outing, while the X Factor only managed 39.1 per cent.
A source told the Sun:
"The figures are hugely disappointing for The X Factor because the whole point of the live shows is that they are supposed to build momentum.
"Last year there were nearly 14million watching the second live show. Where have all those viewers gone? Simon is furious. This would never have happened on his watch and he wants the team to know this and sort it out."
